What it is

A chair board ticking at six times real time, a booking engine that knows a beard sculpt is not a skin fade, a style advisor scored against a fit table rather than a model, an on-device face-shape scan that uploads nothing, and a demand heatmap that discounts the quiet hours automatically. The customer’s availability and the owner’s sheet are generated from the same hash, so they can never disagree.

In more detail

Why a beard sculpt and a skin fade need different slots

Because the services are not the same length. A beard sculpt runs 25 minutes, a cut and beard together 65, and the day is cut into 15-minute steps from 10:00 to 22:00 across three chairs. A time only appears if one chair is free for the whole of it, so the board cannot sell a slot it has no room to finish.

How the off-peak price moves itself

It comes off the demand curve, not a decision someone makes once. Prices in the quiet hours drop 18% automatically, the busy evening never drops, and the demand map on the floor screen marks which hours are which. Nobody has to remember to switch a promotion on, and the one hour the shop is full cannot be discounted by accident.

What happens to the photo in the face-shape scan

Nothing leaves the device. The landmarker runs in the browser on the phone, and the scan answers one of the advisor's three questions — face shape; the other two are hair type and how much upkeep you want. Those three answers are scored against a fit table, so asking twice with the same answers gives you the same look.

What the floor screen shows while a customer books

Three chairs, each either occupied — with the time it frees up printed under it — or free to walk into, ticking at six times real time. A picked slot names the chair as well as the time, so the sheet says who is taking it. A day with no gap long enough for the chosen service shows a waitlist that takes the first cancellation instead of an empty grid, and a picked slot carries a downloadable calendar invite beside the confirm button.

Common questions

Is this a real barbershop?

No — it is a working demo, built as a pattern we sell to barbershops rather than a shop we run. The booking engine, the floor board and the style advisor all work; the clock behind the floor is simulated at six times real time and says so on screen.

Does the style advisor use AI?

No. It scores your three answers — face shape, hair type and upkeep — against a fit table, and the screen says so. The photo try-on is the one place a model is involved, and with no key it returns instructions rather than a faked result.

Can it recognise a customer who has been in before?

Yes, by mobile number. A returning client is recalled from the number they book with — the identifier a UAE barbershop already holds for everyone — rather than an account to create and a password to forget.

Can we buy this for our barbershop?

Yes — it is sold as a pattern, so the booking engine, the floor board and the advisor are fitted to your services, their durations and your opening hours. What it costs comes out of that scope, and we put one figure in writing after a call.
