ERP systems built for GCC operations
Finance, stock, payroll and projects on one data model — with VAT, corporate tax and WPS payroll handled as first-class rules, not plugins.
An ERP earns its cost the day the same number stops being kept in three places. The hard part in this region is rarely the accounting — it is that duty, landed cost, WPS files and VAT treatment all have local rules that imported software applies loosely, and a rule applied loosely produces figures nobody trusts.
What you get
- Landed cost derived per shipment, correcting margins retroactively
- VAT decided per line, because the rate depends on what was supplied
- WPS-format payroll files generated, not typed
- Journals that balance by construction, with the working shown
In more detail
Where the VAT rate is actually decided
A company-level tax setting is the wrong place for a rate that changes with what was supplied. In Atlas ERP, our sales demo for GCC construction, UAE VAT at five percent and corporate tax at nine percent are computed as you post. Journals balance by construction, and the working is shown rather than assumed — in the demo the journal chain is hashed, and the trial balance is live rather than something produced at month-end.
Why a late clearance invoice has to reach backwards
Freight, duty, clearance and bank charges are known days or weeks after the goods arrive, which is why they never reach the cost. The shipment owns its costs and unit cost is derived from it, so a late clearance invoice reaches back into the margin on everything that came out of that container. The basis matters as much as the total: duty and insurance follow value because that is how they are charged, freight follows volume because that is what the shipping line prices, and one basis applied to everything is wrong in both directions at once.
Where the WPS file comes from
Payroll produces the file from the same data the ledger uses, rather than someone retyping figures into a template. The Atlas ERP demo runs the payroll and produces a bank-ready .SIF file, alongside a visa-expiry radar. Nothing is keyed twice, so the ledger and the transfer cannot disagree.
Where stock on hand comes from
Stock on hand is derived from a movement trail rather than stored as a number somebody re-types. StockBook works that way and is live with a Dubai coir importer: it never invents a cost, and where the margin is unknown it shows a dash and says why, instead of filling the gap with the supplier price. That is the discipline the whole model rests on — a figure is either derived or it is sourced, never assumed.

Common questions
What does a custom ERP cost in the UAE?
Scope decides it and it is quoted per project in writing after a call. For an ERP the number moves on how many departments share one data model, what has to migrate and what state it is in, and whether it has to talk to banks, WhatsApp, government portals or the accounting you already run.
How long does an ERP take to go live?
Weeks, not quarters, and the date is fixed at the scope call rather than discovered later. An ERP sits at the longer end because more of it has to agree with itself before anyone can post: finance, stock, payroll and projects share one data model, so they go live against one migrated set of records rather than one department at a time. Handover and training sit inside that date.
Can you migrate the accounting system and spreadsheets we run today?
Yes, and that is the usual starting point. We import from whatever you run today and surface the errors instead of inheriting them — the StockBook import brought forty-four invoices and twenty-eight customers across and found two real mistakes in the ledger it came from. Which duplicate is the real customer stays your decision, because that part is a decision task rather than a data one.
Is the ERP available in Arabic?
Every screen is English and Arabic with the layout mirrored, and so are the documents it generates. Technical codes are isolated so bidirectional text cannot silently reorder a part number or a bank account number — the trap that never shows up in a translation review, because every word in it is correct.
It boots in your browser and runs the real logic — no form, no sales call.
